Oh dear, like I need another internet craze to consume my free time. Joe took the Facebook plunge a while ago and has all of MY friends writing on his wall, following him, yada, yada, yada. I'm truly missing out aren't I?
Should I hold out? I do but I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything too spectacular. But sometimes I can't even keep up with everyone's blogs, emails, etc. How will I keep up with Facebook too?

I have not seen his face book I'll have to check it out.
I can't keep up, so I would have trouble.
Facebook, blogs, my space, utube .... who has time to just 'be'? There are only 24 hours in a day but I guess someday I'll just have to take a few of those moments and check it all out.
I think you should, you don't have to keep up with it all day, everyday.
It is a nice tool for reconnecting with old friends!
Good luck!
I finally broke down and hopped on Facebook about a month ago. My decision was based mainly on the ability to keep in touch with my relatives from out of state. Since then, I have linked back up with several former classmates and co-workers that I haven't heard from in years. I've kept my Facebook endeavor pretty simple, but it does indeed take some time.
Good luck if you decide to take the plunge!
Don't do it... You should clean the house instead :P
Ok, so just kidding, but seriously you have two computers running all night every night as it is...
Ah yes, I should clean the house.
Jill - I'm also having more trouble keeping up these days and I know as with all things in my life I'd be consumed by it.
Julie- To just "be," I don't remember what life was like before the internet. I'd definitely miss it if it was gone though.
Amy - I don't have any old friends. ;)
Mike- Simple? I've seen your farm. Hehe. Glad you are able to keep up with everyone this way though. Oh networking, networking.
Pot - Hi this is the kettle talking. Just who do you think you are!?!
Dawn~ I just got onto face book this week, b/c Adam's sister said she's never in myspace anymore, and as soon as I logged on, there were about 30 people I haden't seen from HS on there asking to be friends...it was a little (ok a lot) overwhelming, but it's also really need to catch up with everyone. I haven't really kept in touch with anyone from HS other then 3 people, so to see what so many other class mates are up to and who they married and where they are living, and kids yada yada yada it's kind of fun. I do think there are more people on facebook now then myspace, but yesterday while the boys were in school, I did NOTHING but bake brownies and look at peoples stuff on facebook...and now logging on today, I see Joe added me...hehehe I also have Mike on mine too! Good luck just don't let it consume you!
I got into facebook about a year ago - at first it was fun but then I just lost interest. Jim however, is hooked and it's pretty much the only thing he checks online. Good luck with your decision!
I've had it for a long time but just recently have enjoyed it more. There are a lot of things that people send you and such that get confusing but now it is growing on me.
If you don't join you know i'll just talk to Joe about you, lunchmaker! mwhahahahhaah
Yeah Yeah Yeah, I know, I know. I just need to pull the trigger and do it. Even my 16 yo 1/2 brother has Joe for a friend now. I'm so out of the loop.
Deb - I heard all about the lunch deal. Why is everyone against me?
Thanks for the input everyone.
Changed my blog name. Just letting you know---
You have to get on Facebook. I hate to say it, but I love it. I do not feel some of the pressure to keep up there that I do elsewhere. Plus, my handy little iPhone can go straight into Facebook so I can see everyone's status right away :)
Let me know what you decide
Kiera Beth - Ugh, did you just say iPhone? We don't use that kind of language in this house. ;) I'm fighting a tooth & nail battle with Joe because he wants one Bad! He however already has his beloved Crackberry which was So great in the beginning.
I will probably be getting on Facebook sooner rather than later though.
