A Surprise Shower

The hockey Mom's all got together and threw a shower for me tonight. Joe was in on it as he had to get me to the rink somehow. So he cooked up the story of having to work late so I had to take Tommy to hockey practice. It worked out nicely and the girls put on a nice spread of hors d'oeuvres, cake, and punch. I was very surprised and it was a nice gathering while the kids had practice.

They got us a Pack-n-Play which will be perfect for all our travel hockey hotel stays. :) They also got us some cute outfits, blankets, onesies, and that kind of good stuff. I am really starting to feel like we are indeed going to be ready come March 13th!

And can I just say how spoiled I am? It's the 2nd surprise party for me in the past year. ;)

That sneaky Joe ... so nice. Tomorrow is Friday the 13th - not too long until the next Friday the 13th and the arrival of the newest member of the Papesh family. Can't wait!

Thanks girls! I definitely love my Blizzard family. They are so thoughtful. And yes, today is Friday the 13th and I'm starting to think the next one can't get here soon enough! Exciting times!

That is so nice of them to do that for you! Those IT guys can be pretty sneaky sometimes =) Not too much longer for you to go. The pregnancy has gone by fast. I can't wait to meet the newest Papesh!

Well I'm not so happy, as they bet your work friends to the surprise. It's neat that the dates were so close.
Hope you had a great time at both your surprises!!

Jill S. - So it's a sneaky IT thing? ;) I was still naive and asked Joe once he got there, "so do you have to go back to work?" Duh on me.

Jill M - I know, and I'm sorry. I need to work on my acting skills. I was truly floored for my 30th, I don't know if you'll ever get that reaction out of me again. ;) It was a wonderful luncheon yesterday and as I said earlier I was totally in the dark until the hockey shower. I just didn't think people were given showers after the 1st baby. You all spoil me rotten! Such wonderful friends!

Barb - Thanks, less than 4 weeks now and the new arrival should be here. :)
