Austin has been playing baseball this season. He is having so much fun and he about makes me crazy on game days because he can't wait for his 6:00 game. He is 9 for 9 at the plate and has not had to hit off the tee once. It's coach pitch. You can see he does really well getting righty on the bat and see his little trot down the baseline. He's pretty much just slower than everyone and of course only uses one hand when fielding. I have to get video of him catching and throwing, it's quite a sight. He just figures things out in his own little way. On Opening Day he I swear had the biggest applause when he hit that ball. I was so proud. He has had quite a following, my Dad, my Mom, Joe's Mom, the Muylle family, Julie & furbaby Allison, his teacher Ms. Kristine, and Fr. Bill have come to a game. Everyone is probably so tired of hearing Austin talk about it they knew they had to see him in action. Enjoy the video.

Dawn I could have cried when Austine hit the ball. Mike got so mad at me for yelling "run Austin"!
He keeps his eye on the ball when it's being pitched and that big smile. We will be back to see another.

Such a great video! I cried as well when I saw this! Gosh he amazes me every day! What a proud little guy! I would love to come watch 1 of his games, so if he plays when Bryce and Tommy don't....please let me know!! The boys came in to watch the video too, and Bryce clapped when he hit it! They were both So exctied for him!

Ellen - That is funny, I've thought the same thing of others. But yeah that is me. Jill had video of me singing on her blog recently but the sound didn't work. I dodged that bullet hehe.
Dawn....can you send me an e-mail of Austins games? I wanna try to get to one when bryce and Tommy don't play and when Bryce don't have a soccer game. Joe said he plays Thursday at 6....Bryce has soccer at 6 on Thursday! Thanks!!! The boys wanna come to a game too!
Tommy caught an awesme pop up tonight! It went kind of like a line drive with a bit of a lift to it, and right over by Tommy! We were all screaming for him, and he turned and looked at us, and said, oh yeah and my parents aren't even here! LOL! The boys played GREAT tonight ad pulled out a win! 5-4
I know, I know crummy Mom! Honestly I think Tommy performs better when I'm not there. Maybe he should try to convince me to stay away. Sounds like a great game last night. You've got mail.
Oh Dawn! I cried as I watched the video! Austin is doing wonderful and is such an inspiration! I am headed upstairs with my laptop to show Drew the video!
Thank you Kiera Beth - I hope that he as the eldest hemi in the group can be a motivator for the younger kids. Today at Olive Garden a hostess had CP and used a wheelchair. It's just good to see them living a normal life. They had just featured this lady in the paper recently, she was a 1lb 1oz preemie! Wow!
Dawn, as I was reading I was expecting him to run slow, but he is speedy out there! He got to that base so fast! I am SUPER impressed!
