The Papesh's weren't as prosperous this year but I'd have to say it was another memorable event! The Bojo's had their mojo going as they were in the last five for the big money, they were the 117th ball drawn for $150. The SE staff also had a big year getting out on the 118th for $200. The 120th ball wins $3000 so all you can say is so close. Back in 2006 was Joe's and my big chance getting out on the 4th ball from the end for $150. Last year we were out on the 10th from the end, another close year but we won $300+ on 50/50 raffles. Last night we were just donators which is cool as it all helps my great St. Elizabeth School. It is always a great time.
The band was obviously a country/western band. The 25 Cent Beer Band played until about 12:20 and the party was still going strong. They were awesome! Everyone had such a great time. The only crazy thing is we probably did the electric slide for more than half of the fast dances. I guess the guests love to line dance. I do too but I would like some variety too. Time for a new craze to hit for us people that are too old to appreciate the Soulja Boy! I guess the Cupid Shuffle is easy enough but not quite in the country/western genre. Great night though! And I only had to take Extra Strength Tylenol twice for my achy breaky back. The slippers saved me.

Cute Pictures. Looks like you had a lot of fun!
OMG! I didn't even notice your matching fingernails last night. My bad! Too wrapped up in my cool boots I guess!
It was a fun night for a good cause. Very personable band didn't you think? Have to agree - we need to learn one or two more line dances before next year.
Thanks Liz (or Lance) I think one of these years you should join us. I think you'd like it.
Julie - Your boots were definitely cool. ;) I'll have to post our girlie pic when we get it from Heidi. It was certainly fun. How was Mike doing this morning, I think Dennis was taking good care of him. ;)
Matching fingernails? What did I miss:)
Another fun time, until my husband decided to p**s me off on the way home. He thought he was good enough to drive and because I wouldn't let him, I paid the price on the way home! Happy Birthday to me, huh:)
I loved everyone costumes, what will we be next year:)
Oh no Amy!!! Sorry Dennis gave you some grief last night. But technically by the time you went home your birthday was over so just remember that "officially" your birthday was awesome. ;) Seriously though sorry he was being a fruity pebble. Hope you had a good day today.
I also loved everyone's costumes. I suggested at Fr. Bill's party that next year should be disco/hippy theme. Wouldn't that be great. ;) Can't see that coming off too well though.
Disco/hippy would be awesome!
We could do "Staying Alive, ah, ah, ah, ah, Staying Aliveeee!:)
I smell flower power with that great suggestion. Now where do we find a good band like the one we had Saturday night to play at little "let the sun shine in ....."
Uhm...yeah. I was thinking more along the lines of Hot Stuff by Donna Summer. You know my anthem when I'm not looking like a whale. ;)
Glad you both go for the disco theme, not sure how the common folk would feel about it.
We drove by there Saturday night after the Spirit game and it was packed. Couldn't figure out what was going on...til now, LOL. Glad fun was had by all!
Yup that was us. You saw a good Spirit game Saturday night. Very cool Sherri.
Dawn what a nutty picture of me on two phones.
Love the pictures. I had a great time.
Looks like a great time! I love all of the photos!
Jill - You were so engrossed in both convo's I wondered if you even knew I took a pic of you. Reminded me of the guy on Airplane.
Thanks Kiera Beth - If you were a few states away you'd have to come.
Spirit game saturday night was awesome! Loved the OT and the great shot in 43 seconds of the OT but then we had to wait about 5 minutes for it to be reviewed. It was called good....very good game!
