Tommy's 1st Communion & Confirmation

Rounding out our Spiritual weekend, here are some pics of Tommy's big day. I can't believe how grown up he is getting. He got to read the 2nd reading and did well. He looked forward to this day so much. He is a very devout and faithful little boy. We had a party afterwards celebrating both he & Ashley's Sacrament weekend. It was a great time though the weather was bad. We had 63 people come over! It's a new record!

I had the kids pics taken professionally for the Sacraments. They turned out awesome! Joe and I are having a bit of a disagreement about posting them on here, he says no due to copyright. I don't know, it's not like I would claim them as my own and would even link to the photographers website but hey don't want to make waves. This was our first stint with a real studio and not in a mall. It was a very nice and non-stressful experience. I wish I could show them off to you. We're going to spend a small fortune on them when it's all said and done. I should just see about buying the rights to them.

Congrats on the joyous weekend. I completely forgot to RSVP and didn't feel right going without doing so. Darn!!! I was definately thinking about you guys! Sounds like it was a wonderful day even with the awful weather!

Congrats to Tommy - he looks so proud :) I'll have to post a pic of Leah for you. Now i'll always remember they are the same age since they had their 1st Communion on the same day!

Congrats on another great event! Tommy looks so proud. I love seeing all of the event pictures

As for the photos, I talked to our professional photographer when we got our family pics taken. I explained that I had a blog and wanted to post a thumb nail. He was in agreement with the thumbnail as long as I linked back to his site from the photo. He was very open to it and asked me questions about the blog. I could then post it without any feelings of guilt. You might be surprised how they would volunteer to give you low quality smaller prints for the site.

Thanks girls! Tommy will love reading these when he gets home.

Renee - You and me both, he'll sometimes remind me he's 1/2 way to driving.

Sherri - Silly you! You could have come, we had plenty of food. Bummer.

Deb- I would love to see a pic of Leah. Girls are so beautiful on their 1st Communion.

Kiera Beth - Maybe I will look into that. They might see it as good advertising to the locals. Thanks for the idea.

Ellen - They started changing over when I was in 10th grade and made mine with the 11th graders. It's slowly made it down to 2nd grade. I see pros and cons of both ages.

Love the total makeover of your blog. The colors are easy on the eyes and grown up pictures of all your children.
Congratulations to Tommy!

Didn't you have Heidi take the pix? I'm sure she'd be cool with it... maybe you could have her give you an image with a digital "watermark" on it.

Looks fantastic though!! Everyone looks so great! Congrats all around!

Hey, good luck on those pictures! I was always a sucker, too - spending tons of money! Couldn't leave any behind, don't ever tell Dennis!

What a great party you and Joe had. Everyone had a wonderful time and congratulations to your precious children!

Thanks Julie - Guess I was in a creative mood this morning.

Kathy - I took all three kids to Rummel's 2 weeks ago. I wanted to get a pic on Sunday too but Tommy was being a beast about it and Joe was worried about getting home for the party. :( So no church pic from Heidi.

Amy - It's always a great party when you and Dennis are there. ;) So much fun!
