The Joe's a No-Go

A heartbreaking 5-4 loss for the Blizzard today. It was such a close game and no one was ever up by 2. It really could have gone either way. Tommy played but wasn't 100% by any means. He wasn't too much of a liability though playing for an even plus/minus +1/-1. The coaches actually played Tommy a lot which surprised me because he just didn't have it. I will say he played better at the end of the game then the beginning. Maybe he was nerved up? I am proud that he went out there, I don't know if it was the right parenting choice and if it wasn't such an important game we wouldn't have done it.

We went out to eat with a few other team members and Tommy still seems to be doing well. So maybe we have finally kicked this illness. I sure hope so it's been a long week. I'm ready to move on from illness focus to baby focus. Time to get our newest family member here.

Sounds like a tough day all around. To go or not to go. Went but should he play? and if to play, how much? Close game but no further will Tommy's team go this year. Still awesome to get to where they did. WTG Blizzard!

That is a bummer on the loss. I am glad he seems to be feeling better.

Dawn when will that new baby be joining the family? I hope it goes smooth and I will be anxious to hear the news!

Bummer about the game. I am glad to hear that he was able to play and that he is feeling a little better.

I hope that it all clears up soon so you can focus on the new little one joining the family!

Thanks girls! Just happy that this illness seems to have gone bye-bye or is at least on it's way out. Now his team has two weekend tourney's and then it's on to spring hockey and baseball. No rest for the weary. Oh well, we wouldn't want it any other way.

Renee - March 13th and you've got mail.

Oh darn!!
Well at least they played well! I love to watch those close games.
But now the 13th is a perfect day to have a baby.

I'm sorry that they lost and I totally understand the choice of allowing him to go and play. like you said, it was a pretty important game! I am sure we'll be seeing you guys a lot this summer at the ball park! With the new age chances made this year for ball, Bryce was able to move up to minors! He's so excited. Drew is not playing this summer! He played every year until we had some coach issues last year and he has choosen not to play! Kind of stinks, but now I'll only have 2 teams to work around instead of 3 I guess! LOL Can't wait til March 13th...coming quickly. I still need to get my butt over and talk to you guys! What nights you guys free this week?

I'm sorry that they lost. But I'm glad that Tommy got to play - I'm sure he would've been heartbroken if he would've missed it. Hopefully everyone is feeling better soon!

Thanks Jill, Sherri, and Barbara - Tommy finally seems normal tonight. Yay! It only took a week.

Sherri - Hmm...Wednesday early evening, late afternoon probably. Other nights it's hockey night. It never ends. Bummer that Drew is done with ball. It's too bad that coaching can drive a kid away.

I'll call you later Dawn and see what time works for you.....Drew has practice at 6:30....Adam has to go help cuz the coach can't make it, and he usually takes Bryce with him when he helps....so I can definately come tonight! Talk to you soon!
