Rash News

Well the doc thinks it's connected to the viral infection he had last week. If he gets worse like his skin starts peeling or his joints get stiff I need to get him back in. Poor Aus, he's always been my sickly one. The rash is definitely getting worse and he seems to be scratching at it a bit.

He did have a strep test and that came back normal so I'm thankful for that. The doc also said I don't need to have him quarantined or anything so that is good. Thank goodness, Grandma is having us over for dinner and swimming this afternoon. Yay! Home cooking!

So we continue, staying the course.

I will keep my fingers crossed.
Glad the strep test came back negative!

Good to know that he is on the mend!

Lauren is my child that always has issues. At the age of 15 she has had 6-7 surgeries that I can remember, numerous falls; one down 20-30 steps in a walker and one down our apartment steps, etc. and who knows what else is to come. So hang in there!

Don't know what happened, but the blogger kept asking for a new word verification. Sorry for the duplicate comment:)

Amy - Ouch! Poor Lauren, she's had quite the eventful 15 years!

I hope the rash is better now that we are in the 'week' days. Seems like kids always get sick late at night, especially Friday or Saturday nights. Keeping lift interesting at the Papesh household.

Poor baby! I hope it is all cleared up now.

Eh, the rash is still there. His thighs were flaming red hot last night and he was pretty uncomfortable. Seems good today though so far. Knock on wood.

Is it hot to the touch?

My mom had a rash like that, but it was hot/warm to touch. Ended up being a staph infection. Keep a close eye on it!

Eeks Amy! But it was pretty much all over his body but worse in his "sweaty" areas. Definitely hot in his groin area. Aye Carumba! He hasn't complained about it today, I will see how he is looking tomorrow and I'll call the doc if it's still there.

Dawn, if it is spreading, def. talk with the doctor. I worry about those staph infections or mersa. Keep us updated.

Amy - Aren't staph infections or MRSA from injuries? His is definitely a contained illness I think. But yeah, those infections would make me nervous.

I am thinking about him. I am glad that the strep was negative. I hope that it clears up soon. Do you have the humidity and heat right now also?

Seems busy in your neck of the woods. Stopping by to let you know I've been thinking about you all! Rash prayers and hugs :)

Kiera, it's been very hot and a bit muggy. Thankfully we have A/C but I'm sure that the heat didn't help his rash scene.

Jessica - Thanks so much for the kind words and prayers.
